About Me
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Computational Vascular Biomechanics Lab at the University of Michigan, mentored by Prof. C. Alberto Figueroa. My research bridges computational modeling, cardiovascular physiology, and translational medicine. My postdoctoral work focuses on developing physiology-based mathematical models of cardiovascular regulation in physiological and pathophysiological conditions, such as coronary autoregulation and hemorrhage, to improve therapeutic strategies.
Prior to joining the University of Michigan, I received my PhD in Bioengineering from Northeastern University as a member of the Integrated Cardiovascular and Pulmonary (ICAP) team, advised by Prof. Jessica M. Oakes and Prof. Chiara Bellini. My dissertation research integrated experimental data with computational simulations to investigate the cardiopulmonary health implications of repeated wildland fire smoke inhalation in wildland firefighters.
I received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. For my undergraduate thesis, I developed an agent-based network algorithm to model the spread of low-prevalence close-contact diseases, such as HIV.
